Cyclopoida: Acanthocyclops sp. Species of this genus occur in the benthic region of the littoral shallows of inland water bodies. Typically they are found in the shallows of ponds, wetlands and may even be found in ground water. This genus is believed to be closely related to the genus Diacyclops.
